OK sued over contaminated pie

According to The Daily News, a Harare woman is demanding over $10 000 from one of the country’s leading supermarket chains, claiming a $1 pie she bought in October 2011 from the shop was contaminated. Silindeni Gangarabwe filed a High Court application against OK Zimbabwe Limited, seeking damages she suffered as a result of the firm’s negligence. She claims after taking the pie she developed acute gastroenteritis. Gastroenteritis is an infection

I had a little flap with Innscor last year. This was concerning their rebuilding of the Pomona food court, and the (apparent) lack of a Nando’s outlet there.

I was quickly reassured that there would indeed be a Nando’s at Pomona, and have visited it a few times

I have very strong opinions on issues like change, customer service and corporate feedback.

For months I railed against retailers who steadfastly refused to remedy the change situation. I whined incessantly about Innscor in general, and Nando’s in particular, regarding their practice of pricing their products for change, without providing the change itself!

I am a fan of curry. I will comb through any restaurant menu and if I find a chicken, beef or lamb curry, I will order that first. It is always a surprise to find a nice place with a good, robust curry that’s not too hot, like I did the other day. Patty’s Kitchen is in back of Sam Levy’s village, across the car-park near the old bowling alley.
